eCitizen II Conference took place in Patra, Greece on 28th November 2012 and e-Hoop participated with an overview presentation of the project. “The e-Citizen 2.0 project and EU initiatives and projects for e-Government and active participation” was launched from the beginning of January 2010, aiming the support of European cities and regions in their joint efforts to accelerate e-Government through exploiting established networks, gained experiences and good practices to improve interaction between citizens and public authorities, better involving citizens in local decision-making and contributing to change in operational culture and attitudes within public administrations. One of the project’s main outcomes is the PanEuropean Best Practice Manual on eParticipation.
